The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it truly is alarmed concerning the significant range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior variety of clients/beneficiaries SRD to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure sassa status at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service point established for intervention experiences a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to help the servicing of all customers and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
